MXGP of Sardegna
Stopping doesn't mean mean to give up
Last weekend, Julius Mikula was set to compete in the MXGP World Championship round in Sardinia. Unfortunately, his plans were disrupted by an injury sustained during timed qualifying—an injury to his right shoulder, accompanied by swelling and significantly limited mobility.
Despite the pain, Julius made the decision to line up for the qualifying race. However, after a few laps, he had to retire early due to restricted movement and the risk of worsening the injury. As a result, he did not start Sunday's main motos.
Following medical evaluation and a week of rest, Julius got back on the bike on Thursday to test the condition of his shoulder. The outcome? The decision was made—he will line up for this weekend's MXGP race at the track in Pietramurata (Arco di Trento), Italy.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for Jula and hoping he gets through the race weekend without pain, complications, and most importantly—safely!
