Julius Mikula Scores Points at MXGP in France: A Solid Performance in the MX2 Class
This past weekend, Julius Mikula lined up for the MXGP World Championship round in Saint Jean d'Angély, France, competing in the highly competitive MX2 class.
Saturday's qualifying race saw Julius battling mid-pack, where he secured 17th place. Sunday's races, however, brought a clear step up in pace and performance. Mikula showed he could compete at the highest level, delivering a solid and determined ride. His strong effort was rewarded with an impressive 11th-place finish in the second moto, placing him 14th overall for the weekend.
Next stop on the MXGP calendar: Sardinia—promising another intense fight for valuable championship points!

Saint-Jean-d'Angély hosted another round of the Motocross World Championship – the MXGP of France. Organizers had expected rain as early as Saturday, but it didn't arrive until the following day. As a result, the track remained fast and relatively smooth on Saturday. However, during the qualifying race, the rain did end up surprising us. Unfortunately, water got into my goggles, which made visibility and the overall ride much more difficult. I finished the session in 17th place, which determined my gate pick for Sunday's races.
In the first moto on Sunday, I struggled to find the right rhythm. I didn't feel fully comfortable, and the race turned into more of a mental battle with myself. I crossed the finish line in 16th place. I entered the second moto determined to improve. Right after the start, though, I got stuck in the first corner and dropped all the way to the back of the field. Still, I managed to find a good pace, focused on my own riding, and began steadily overtaking other riders. In the end, I worked my way up to 11th place—an outcome I'm really happy with, considering the tough start.
Huge thanks to my entire team for their great work and support throughout the weekend. A big thank-you also goes out to my partners and fans, whose ongoing support means a lot!
