A strong performance by Julius Mikula was cut short by a technical issue just before the finish line.

Another round of the Italian National Championship took place this weekend on the track in Mantova, where Julius Mikula showcased excellent form and racing determination. Although a technical issue cost him a chance at the podium, his performance—and the fastest lap of the race—left a strong impression.

Italian National Championship – Mantova

On Saturday at the Italian National Championship in Mantova, we experienced changing weather, with light showers throughout the day—but nothing that significantly affected racing conditions. I took part in free practice and qualifying, where I finished 2nd in my Group B session.

Sunday greeted us with beautiful weather, and the track was in perfect condition for racing. In the first moto, I didn't have the best start, but still managed to finish in 4th place. My start in the second moto was a bit better, and while battling for 4th position, I attempted a risky overtaking move that unfortunately didn't work out, and I crashed. Thankfully, I wasn't injured and was able to continue the race.

I began my comeback ride, though the top three riders already had a solid lead. However, I managed to ride several laps around three seconds faster than the rest and set the fastest lap of the race. With three laps to go, I got back into podium contention, passed into 3rd place, and even had a shot at fighting for 2nd. Unfortunately, about half a lap before the finish, I was forced to retire due to a technical issue.

Even though I couldn't finish the race the way I had hoped, I'm happy with my performance and the speed I showed. This race gave me valuable experience, and I'm already looking forward to the next challenge.

Next up: Riola Sardo MXGP.
Thanks to my entire team and everyone who supports me!
