Start of the 2025 Season: Mantova
Mantova, February 9, 2025 –
TM Corse – CRD Motorsport kicked off the season at the Tazio Nuvolari track in Mantova. The opening round of the Internazionali d'Italia was heavily affected by poor weather conditions. Continuous rain starting Saturday evening made the track extremely demanding. Our riders, competing on their TM machines—Julius Mikula in the MX2 class and Nicky Mannini in the 125 class—started Sunday with timed sessions.

After setting the seventh fastest time in his group, Julius lined up for the first race aiming for a strong start. Unfortunately, a multi-rider crash in the first corner set him back significantly, and he rejoined the race from the very back. His comeback, however, was impressive—Julius gained numerous positions and, with the fastest lap over five consecutive laps, he finished the moto in 13th place.

In the second moto, things went much better from the start—Julius came out of the first corner in second place, though he lost a few spots during the opening lap. After settling in, he climbed back up to third and held that position until the final lap, when he was passed by Lata. Julius finished the race in fourth place, a result that was met with great satisfaction.
Overall, he secured 8th place for the day and now looks ahead with optimism to the next round in Montevarchi, where he'll be aiming for an even stronger result.
JULIUS MIKULA:
"Mantova was tough, with a super wet track and very deep ruts. In the first moto, I had a crash and lost time restarting, but then I worked my way up from last to 13th place. The second race went much better—I started third and held that position for 90% of the race. I eventually finished fourth, and I'm happy with how we managed the race overall! I can't wait to race in Montevarchi. Thanks to the team and all our supporters."
